Responsible for the procurement of materials and related services required by the company to maintain our position as the World’s largest ice cream cone manufacturer. This position will oversee and execute the vendor management process including sourcing, negotiating, performance analysis, and feedback. This will include a responsibility for quality, timeliness, forecast accuracy, and profitability. This position will manage the work of the Junior Buyer; work closely with sales, production, finance and quality departments; and provide direction to purchasing support personnel. Minimal travel will be required to evaluate suppliers. Significant use of MS Office products to analyze data and create presentations will be required. Under the CFO, the Systems / Network Manager and Administrator operates in a Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers environment running Microsoft software. Overall responsibility for Windows servers & desktops; Microsoft Hyper-V & MS server farm; system upgrades, patches, security, and encryption. Getting our cones to market quickly and efficiently is important. That´s why we own and operate our own fleet of trucks. It ensures that our cones are handled properly from the time they leave the plant until they arrive at their destination. Yes, it costs us a little more to do this, but the results are worth it.
